I have two more beautiful days left in Belgium. What better way to spend them by touring around the country side. My ride was around 3 hours and 30 minutes, covering 73km. Not bad for a mountain bike with knobby tires. It is amazing the history of a place like this, every town tells a story. Not only do the towns tell stories but so do the forests. I came across a very interesting forest yesterday so I thought I would venture back and snap a few photos for you the reader. The forest was the where E company from the US army bunkered in to hold off the German's from taking the city of Bastogne. They have a little memorial by the forest with a plaque and a description of what had happened their many years ago. Now down the road 5km they have a massive memorial that is dedicated to the brave men and women of the US Air Force, US Army, Special Forces, etc... Pretty cool!
Wow....
The Forest...
The monument Dedicated to the US

Road riding is pretty easy when you have roads like this
