Rest Day

Last night was Neil’s last night in Belgium, so we all went to the local watering hole to enjoy a cold beverage. It was a fun night because we all did not party for new years because we had races on Dec 31st and Jan 1st so we celebrated 2007 in style…fashionable late…Jan 2nd…hahhaha

Today was a rest day, I been having a leg issue and it needed some extra recovery time. So Shaun and I entertained each other for the whole day, this is what we did. We cleaned all our equipment. It was well overdue, many muddy races over here. We then decided it was a good day to walk around the little town we live in and check out the butcher shop and the local newsstand. I made a pit stop at the bank; freaking mean ladies working there…they hated life! The butcher has to be my second favourite spot in town. It so sweet, they have fresh meats and cheese. So now I have the bakery and the butcher shop…watch out! The newsstand was pretty cool, just a tonne of Dutch magazines and newspapers. I found one English one. Then Shaun and I decided to come home, we both got a piece of sheep from the butcher and some sandwich meats. When we got back to the house Tara and Greg decided it was a good time to go hit up the grocery store for some fresh produce. My day just pretty much consisted of getting food.

I have a bunch of pictures that I will hopefully get up soon. My computer is taking a long nap (waiting for the power cord to arrive). Once I got it I will slap them up for your viewing pleasure!
